Synthesis of Imidazolo (5, 4-d] Pyrido [1, 2-A] Pyrimidine and Pyrazino [5, 6-e] Pyrido [I, 2-a] Pyrimidine and Pyrido [1:2, 1:2] Pyrimido |5, 4-e]-1, 4-Diazepine With Expected Biological Activity

A Variuos derivatives of 4H-pyrido[1,2-a] pyrimidinc were prepared. Chiorination of malonyl - cc -aminopyridine gave the corresponding 2- chloro derivative II . If Amination of II follwed by nitrosation afforded compounds III and IV respectively. Compound IV was reduced to give compound V which upon treatment with formamide, the purine derivative VI was obtained. Also formylation of compound II followed by amination gave compounds VII and VIII respectively. When VIII was reacted with chloroacetyl chloride compound IX was obtained. Cyclocondesation of IX with liquid ammonia gave the diazepine derivative X. Also, treatment of compound IV with ethylcyanoacetate yielded the petridioe derivative XI.
