The polarographic behaviour of three Mordant dyes in non aqueous buffered solutions is represented. These studies were done on 4 00 X 10-4M/1 of C.I. Mordant Red 73, C.I. Mordant Red 17 and CI. Mordant Red 7 in Britton Robinson modified universal buffer solution in presence of 50% (v / v) dioxane-water as solvent. It is clear that the half-wave potential shifts to more negative values of pH as to be expected for proscesses that consume protons. The results show more than one wave over the pH range examined. The results indicate that the process of reduction is irreversible.
