Sodium, tetramethylammonium and tetraethylammonium ion pair complexes of some (MIII Ethylene glycol bis-(2-amino ethyl ether) tetra acetic acid (EGTA) ), were MIII = FeIII CrIIIor AJIII were prepared in their solid form. Their composition was studied via elemental analysts,, i. r spectra. X-ray and magnetic measurements. Number of water of crystallisation molecules in every complex was found to depend largely on the nature of the cation involved in the i and to a lesser extent on the trivalent metal complexed with EGTA.
