An attempt is used to investigate the behaviour of monosulphonic mondant dyes, C I. Mor- dant Red 73, C. I. Mordant Red 17 and C. I. Mordant Red 7 and their metal UO22+ Cr3+ , Fe3+ and Th4+ complexes in presence of 25% and 50% (v/v) dioxane and methanol. The dissociation contants of the dyes and the stability constants of their complexes are obtained using a potentiometric method. The observed orders for the stability, could be represented as followes: Red 73; Fe*+>Ci*+> UOa** Red 73: Fe3+ > Cr3+> UO22+ , Red 17 : Cr3+> UO22+ > Fe3+ ~ Th4+ , Red 7: Th4+ > Cr3+ > UO22+ .The IR spectra is also used to confirm the structure of formed compelxes.
