Seperation of Cr(IIl), Mn(IIl), Fe(IIl) and Co(III) as their 2,3-dihydroxy pyridine chelates has becti carried out by TLC and HPLC. TLC has been carried out on the Silica gel-G plate using acetonemic, methanol and acetonitriie; methanol (1:1 V/V) as eluents. The order of Rr* values of metal chelates is Cr < Mn < Fe < Co. HPLC has been carried out in acetonitrtle : methanol : water elueitt system. The order of separation is Cr > Mn > Fe > Co.
