Spectrophotometric Determination of Ce (III) With 2,6-Pyrldinediol

Ce (III) forms a 1:3 complex with 2,6-pyridinediol in presence of H2S04 on heating for 15 minutes with λmax at 410 nm. The molar absorptivity is 7.1 x 104 1. mo I-1 cm-1. For ten determination relative standard deviation is 1.1%.
