Different N-alkylimines have been synthesized and were reacted with HgCI2, SbCI3 and RhCl3. (H2O)3. The corresponding complexes of the general formulae HgCl2L2 SbCl3L2MeOH and RhCI3L3 were obtained. Spectroscopic evidence by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 199Hg NMR, Mass spectroscopy as well as elemental analysis pointed out the existence of a weak dative bond between these imines and the metals. These complexes were found to be neutral as indicated by their electric conductance.
