ABSTRACT:Schiff s bases are obtained by condensing 2-amino-4-phenyl thiazole, 2-amino-4-methyl benzothiazole, 2-amino-6-methyl benzothiazole and 2-amino benzothiazole with different substituted benzaldehyde and furfuraldehyde. These compounds are tested against test organisms for their antimicrobial activity. The test organisms utilized for testing are S. typhi, P. vulgaris, E. coli, K. pneumoniae, S. dysenteriae and S. aureus.
KEYWORDS:phenyl thiazole; benzothiazole; antimicrobial pneumoniae
