A variety of 2,5 – disubstituted 1,3,4 –oxadiazoles have been synthesized from Isoniazid and the corresponding aromatic acids both in the presence and in the absence of Mont morillonite K-10 clay catalyst. The synthesized compounds were screened for their antimicrobial activities. Better results were obtained in the presence of the catalysts.
KEYWORDS:1;3;4-oxadiazole; microwave irradiation; antimicrobial activity
