Microwave Assisted Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of 7-Chloro-6-Fluoro-2-(Substituted Aromatic Sulphonyl Hydrazino) Benzothiazoles

In the present work prepared 7-chloro-6-fluoro-benzothiazole-2-ylamine(P) from 3-chloro-4-fluoro-phenylamine. 7-chloro-6-fluoro-benzothiazole-2-ylamine on treatment with hydrazine hydrate in microwave oven for 6minutes to get 7-chloro-6-fluoro-benzothiazol-2-yl-hydrazine(PB) which on treatment with different substituted aromatic sulphonyl compounds yields the title compounds(PB1-9). Various compound and their derivatives were prepared and conformed by IR, NMR and Mass spectra. Antimicrobial study shown that synthesized compounds have moderate activity.
