The metal - ligand ratio in the complex Copper+2– p - chloro – N- phenyl– p-chlorobenzo hydroxamic acid was determined spectrophotometrically. The ligand p-chloro – N- phenyl– p-chlorobenzo hydroxamic acid was synthesized and identified. The pH at maximum extraction of the ligand PCNPPCBHA to the metal Copper+2 and the ratio of the metal: ligand were determined.
KEYWORDS:Metal-ligand ratio; Cu (II) – p-chloro – N- phenyl– p-chlorobenzo hydroxamic acid
