Complexes of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) with schiff bases 5-bromo-2-thio-3-phenyl quinazoline-4(3H)one thiosemicarbazone (BTPQT) have been synthesized and their physico-chemical properties have been investigated with the help of elemental analysis IR, electronic spectra, conductivity measurement, decomposition temperature magnetic susceptibility. On the basis of above observations the ligand BTPQT have been prposed to act in a Tridentate fashion, coordinating to the metal ion, through the azomethine nitrogen thione sulphur of thiosemicarbazone moiety and Bromine atom of the ligand. The complexes were proposed to be octahedral in geometry. The ligand as well as their metal complexes have been tested for antifungal potential against Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans
