ABSTRACT:

The infrared absorption spectrum of 2-chloro-6-methyl pyridine has been recorded on Perkin Elmer spectrophotometer and analysed in the region 400-4000 cm-1 using KBr pellet Technique. All the fundamental infrared frequencies have been assigned. The group sensitive fundamental are compared with those of similar molecules already reported in the literature.
