The photocatalytic degradation of azodyes in aqueous suspensions of TiO2 is comparatively a good method for the removal of these impurities. The extent of degradation is followed by UV-Visible, IR and HPLC methods. The degradation process is performed with various heat treated TiO2 in the presence of an oxidizing agent like H2O2 exhibited marked photocatalytic activity.
