A New Route of Syntheisis and Insecticidal Activity of -2h-1,4- Benzoxazin -3-Ones
Various methyl and halogen substituted -2H-benzoxazin-3-ones have been prepared by a new route. The base catalysed cyclisation of o-halo substituted aryloxamides gave the targetted 2H-benzoxazin-3-ones with an excellent yields. The structures of the compounds were confirmed by and PMR studies. These compounds were tested for their insecticidal activity against adult male and female cockroaches and a few showed appreciable activity
