A of mixed ligand complexes of alkaline earth metal chelates of some organic acids with thioxalicylic acid having general formula ML2HL, where M = Mg, Ca, Sr or Ba, L = deprotonated 1N2N, 8HQ, ONP, DNP and HL= thiosalicylic acid have been synthesised and characterised by elemental analysis and IR spectral data. The IR spectra of these complexes indicate the coordination through S-atom of -SH group and O-atom of -COOH group of the thiosalicylic acid.
KEYWORDS:thioxalicylic; IR spectra
