Abstract:
The stoichiometry of the compounds formed by the interaction of chromium chloride and different sodium tungstates (normal-, para and meta-) at specific pH levels 8.0, 5.9 and 4.0 have been investigated by electrometric techniques involving pH and conductometric titrations. The sharp break! and inflections in the titration curves provide definite evidence for the formation of chromium normal-Cr203.3WO3, para-5Cr2O3.36WO3 and meta-Cr2O3.12WO3 tungstates In the vicinity of pH 5.6, 4.7 and 3.6 respectively. Analytical investigations of the compounds formed confirm the results of the electrometric study.
