Abstract:
The aim of this study was to develop a spectrophotometric method for the determination of certain b-lactam and aminoglycoside antibiotic drugs in pure and forensic samples. The method is based on the certain of ampicillin sodium, amoxycillin sodium, amikacin sulphate, benzylipenicillin, benzathine penicillin, ceftriaxone sodium, gentamicin sulphate, streptomycin sulphate and neomycin sulphate as n-electron donor with 2,3-dichloro-5, 6-dicyano-p-benzoquinone (DDQ) as p-acceptor to yeild highly coloured radical anion. The coloured products are quantified spectrophotometrically at 326nm, 380nm, 480nm. The optimum reaction conditions and other analytical parameters have been evaluated for accuracy and precision.
