Abstract

4-fluoro, 3-chloro aniline (I) treated with potassium thiocyanate (KSCN) in presence of CH3COOH were converted into 2-amino, 6-fluoro, 7-chloro (1,3) benzothiazole which was further treated with Hydrazine hydrate in presence of ethylene glycol gave 2-hydrazino, 6-fluoro, 7-chloro (1,3) benzothiazole (3). This compound was treated with Bis-s-methyl ethylene cyanoacetamide in presence of ethanol to get 2-[3-amino, 5-s-ethyl, 4-carboxamido, pyrazol-1-yl] 6-fluoro, 7 substituted [1,3] benzothiazole (4). The above said compound is treated with ortho, meta, para nitroanilines, ortho, meta, para chloro anilines, morphine, piperzine, diphenyl amine, dimethyl amine to different derivatives of (4 a-k) some of the compounds showed promising anti-inflammatory activity1. Most of the compounds exhibited significant antibacterial2 and antifungal activities3.
