The level of total lipids, phospholipids, cholesterol and gangliosides were estimated in the cerebral hemisphere, cerebellum and brain stem of rats administered with Dimecron (Phospham-idon) (2-chloro-2-diethyl carbamoyl-1 -methyl vinyl dimethyl phosphate) 3 mg/kg body weight intraperitoneally (ip) daily for 10 days. The daily ip dose of Dimecron depleted the level of total lipids, phospholipids, cholesterol and gangliosides in cerebral hemisphere, cerebellum and brain stem of the rat brain.
