Abstract:
The possibility of the electroprecipitation of copper powder via the cathodic reduction of anelectrolyte solution containing copper(II) nitrate trihydrate and dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) is shown. The effect electrolysis conditions (current density, concentration and temperature of electrolyte) haveon the dimensional characteristics of copper powder is studied. The size and shape of the particles of thepowders were determined by means of electron microscopy; the qualitative composition of the powders, with thermogravimetric method.
