The Synthesis of 6-(2-Hydroxy-3' Chloro-5'-hydroxymethly Phenyl)-4 Aryl/Heteryl 3, 4 Dihydro- 2 (1H) - Thiopyrimidines was carried out by refluxing a mixture of 1- (2'-hydroxy -3' chloro-5' hydroxymethyl-phenyl) -3 aryl -2 propen- 1- one (0.01 mol), thiourea (0.01 mol) and KOH (0.01 mol) in methanol (50 ml) for 6 hours.
