Electronic absorption spectra of ionic forms (anion, molecule, cation) of N1 -salicylaldehd-3,4,5-trimetoxyben- zoilhydrazone, N1 * salicylaldehyd-4 -metoxybenzoilhydrazone, N1 -salicylaldehyd -phenacetylhydrazone and N1- salicylaldehyd- 3-hydroxybenzoylhydrazone in aqueous solutions at 295 K were investigated. The corresponding acid-base equilibrium constants were determined by spectrophotometric method. The effect of chemical structure on protonation and dissociation process have been discussed.
