The present study was undertaken with a view to evaluate analytical potential of a relatively unexplored chelating ligand, 4-amino-3,5-di-2-pyridyle-4-triazole, for the trace analysis metal ions in samples of industrial and/or environmental importance. The preconcentration behavior of the metal chelates was examined in the popular and widely used methylisobutylketone solvent that is fully compatible whit the flame atomic absorption technique.
