Formation constants of La (III), Nd (III). Gd (III), Pr (III), Sm (III) and Y (III) ions complexes of 1-hydroxy-1-4p- ethoxy)-3-alkyl/aryl have been evaluated potentiometrically in 60% (V/V) dioxine aqueous medium at 0 .2M ionic strergth at 40±16C using the Bjerrum Calvin titration technique. The results are in a good agreement with the values obtained by other methods. Stability sequence for 1 :1 (metal/ligand) complexes has been found to be Gd>Nd>Pr>Sm> La>Y.
KEYWORDS:Thiohydroxamic; Chelating
