Tris (2-(aminomethyl)-pyridine)- iron (Il)-tetraphenylborate exhibits a spin-state equilibrium in solution. Half wave potentials (E1/2) for the reversible oxidation of this substance at different temperatures, UV-visible and Far-IR-spectra are reported for solutions in acteone (AC), acetonitrile An), 1,2-dichIorethane (DCE), dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), methanol (MeOH),N, N-dimrthylformamide (DMF), and nitroethane (HE). The analysis of the temperature dependence of (E1/2) yielded two isoequilibrium relationships, including Ac, An, MeOH, DMF in One group of solvents and DMSO, DCE, NE in another. Isoequilibrium temperatures (Tiso) are found at 336 K and 903 K (i. e. isoentropic behaviour), respectively.
