Since the magnesium soaps have found wide applications in industries, a detailed study on the nature and the structure of these soaps are of great importance for their uses in industries and for explaining their characteristics under different conditions. In the present work, magnesium caprate was prepared by the reaction of magnesium carbonate with the corresponding fatty acids. The conductivity studies of the soap has been made in view to relate them with the Critical Micelle Concentrations (0.033 M).
