The known compounds, β-sitosterol, ursolic acid, luteolin, hesperetin-7-routinoside and 3-hydroxy-4', 5, 6, 7-tetramethoxy flavone have been isolated from Mentha longifolia. The latter compound has been occured lor the first time in the Mentha genus, which is of chemotaxommic importance. The 13C NMR spectrum of hesperetin-7-routinoside acetate was measured and reported for the first time. The work on flavonoids occurring in Mentha species has also been reviewed.
