Alterations in Amino Acid Neurotransmitters Following the Administration of Organophosphate Pesticide-Metasystox

Metasystox (O,O, dimethyl-S-2 ethylsulphinyl) 4 mg/kg body weight was injected intraperitoneally (i p) daily for 10 days. The daily i p dose of Metasystox depleted the level of taurine, aspartic acid, glycine, GAEA, serine and lysine in the cerebral hemisphere, cerebellum and brain stem of rat brain.
