In the present work 3.5 di nitro benzoyl hydrazide (DNBH) was prepared, which on condensation with O-hydroxy aromatic aldehydes, gave salicylidene or 2-hydroxy-1-napthaldehyde gave corresponding hydrazones. The composition of the compounds were established by elemental analysis and IR spectra.
