Anti Fungal Effect of Phenol and its Derivatives on Growth of Alternaria Alternate Fungi and their Mode of Action

Differed Concentration of paenol and its derivative especially in the range of .05 to .40% (W/V) inhibit the dry matter of the mycelia of the test fungi "Alternaria alternate"* when screened in vitro on Richard's medium employing dry weight determination method of assessing fungitoxicity. The percentage of inhibition was also calculated.
