The polarographic behaviour of 5, 5-Dimethylcyclohexane-2-{2-hydroxyphenyl) Hydrazono 1,3-Dione ' (DCPHb) (l)and 5,S-Dimethylcyclohexane-2-(2-hydroxy-4-Methyl Phenyl) Hydrazono 1,3-Dione (DC- 4-Me-PHD)(II) were investigated at different pH's-ki 20% isopropanol-water solution. A mechanism for the electron-reduction process of these compounds which is irreversible and diffusion controlled was proposed. : The effect of Cu2+ ion 06 the half wave potential of DCPHD ligand was studied which indicates shifting to a more negative value with increase in concentration of metal ion. The composition of the complexes of Cu2+ with ligand (I) was determined.
