Iron forms a 1 ; 3 yellow complex with 3-nitro-∝-methyl dibenzoylmethane at pH 6.5-8,5 with working wave length 440 nm. Values of molar absorptivity, Sandell's sensitivity, stability constant (log K) and free energy of formation were found to be 7000 cm-1 mole-1, 0.0079 μgcm-2, 12.553, -17.233 Kcals. mole-1 respectively.
KEYWORDS:Studies; Methyldibenzoylmethane
