The stoichiometry, protonation and stability constants of 5, 6-diphenyl-4-aroylpyridazin-3 (2H)-ones (Ia-c) (DAPO) and 5, 6-diphenyl-4-aroylpyridazine-3 (2H)-thiones (Id-f) (DAPT) with Cu(II) are determined. The effect of substituent groups and some other factors affecting the metal ligand stability are briefly discussed.
