Polarography of pyridine-4-aldoxime in aqueous-n-propanol iso-propanol and-formamide mixtures has been done. The effect of different solvent percentages of the solvent has been discussed on E1/2 and id, on the basis of viscocity and structure of each solvent. The study shows that increasing percentage of non-aqueous solvent hinders approach of depolarizer species to the electrode surface causing the reduction to occur at higher negative potential: thus E1/2 shifts to more negative value.
