A simple, rapid, gradient, accurate condensation reaction of 2-methoxy-5-methyl malon anilic acid (2a) with different substituted phenyl Azo-Salicylaldehydes (2a-2j) in the presence of pyridine as a condensing agent. Structures of newly synthesized compounds were established on the basis of their Spectral studies viz: IR, Elemental analysis and Physical properties.
