Microwave-Promoted Rapid and Efficient Method for Acetylation of Phenols with Acetic Anhydride using Naf As Catalyst Under Solvent-Free Conditions

Sodium flouride is found to efficiently catalyse the acetylation of phenols with acetic anhydride in excellent yields in solvent-free conditions under microwave irradiation.
