A new series of Benzylidine Rhodanine (b) have been synthesized by reaction of Rhodanine (a) and aromatic aldehydes which upon O-alkylation with different chloro- acetamides (c1- 4) form the final derivatives (d1- 4). The physical and spectral data of synthesized compounds are determined. The synthesized compounds have been screened for their anti-convulsant activity by MES method.
KEYWORDS:Benzylidine Rhodanine; Anti-convulsant activity
