A new developed process for synthesis of 2-amino-5-(methyl-3-benzoyl benzyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives(5a-e) have been synthesized from 2-(3-benzoyl phenyl) thiosemicarbazide propionic acid (3) and some derivatives of 2-amino-5-(methyl-3-benzoyl benzyl)-1,3,4 oxadiazole derivatives (5a-e) have been synthesized from 2(3-benzoyl phenyl)thiosemicarbazide propionic acid and tested for antibacterial, antifungal activities against for human pathogenic bacteria and fungi and anti-inflammatory activity on the albino rates. The structures of the synthesized compounds were elucidated by IR and 1HNMR spectroscopic techniques. The antibacterial and antifungal screening of the synthesized compound were performed in vitro by the cup-plate diffusion method and the anti-inflammatory activity on albino rates were performed by carrageenan method.
KEYWORDS:Oxadiazole; anti-inflammatory; antibacterial; antifungal activity
