Asparagus Racemosus known as Vileyatiaishan in Hindi and it belongs to the family Euphorbiaceae. The plant is native to China and Japan but cultivated in all parts of India mainly Nainital, Almora and grow upto 12 feet. We recognized the compounds through chemical process like extraction through ether and after that we established their melting point and boiling point. If the compound is in liquid state we established their structure through I.R., NMR, mass spectroscopy. The water soluble portion of the seeds of Asparagus Racemosus gave all the tests for flavonoid glycoside. The glycoside isolated contain a mixture of glycoside and sugar which were separated by column chromatography. The glycoside obtained was highly soluble in alcohol and ethyl acetate and its purity was established by thin layer and paper chromatography.
KEYWORDS:Flavone glycoside; Rhamnopyranoside; Asparagus racemosus
