A Facile Synthesis, Characterization and Spectral Studies of Some New Thiosemicarbazones

We propose here rapid and highly efficient synthesis of thiosemicarbazone, a class of compound obtained by condensing substituted thiosemicarbazide with suitable aldehydes or ketones. They belong to a large group of thiourea derivative. Thiosemicarbazones of aromatic aldehydes and ketones possess a broad spectrum of potentially useful chemotherapeutic activities. The structures of substituted thiosemicabazones were characterized by virtue of 1HNMR, I.R Spectroscopy and elemental analysis
