Cations as spermicidal agents

Cations like Ni2+,Cu2+,Cd2+,Pd2+,Zn2+,Fe3+,Fe2+ may affect the sperm count, motility, viability, velocity, percentage of motility, protein expression, acrosome reaction fertilizing capacity, preventing implantation, receptor binding, enzyme system, capillary permeability, intratesticular level, Hypothalmic-Pituitary-Testicular Axis, etc and thereby, act as spermicidal.
