Tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP) - hexane based bulk liquid membrane was performed to recover silk textile dye molecules, where TBP was used as a carrier for the transport of dye molecules through hexane as diluent. The parameters such as the effect of feed phase pH, stripping reagent concentration, stirring speed, TBP/ carrier concentration, initial dye concentration and salt concentration like sodium chloride and sodium sulphate were studied. The maximum recovery under optimum conditions was observed as 96.2 % for Acid Red 10 B and 90.3 % for Acid Pink BE respectively.
