Complexes of Co (II), Ni (II) and Cu (II) with mixed ligand Schiff base; 1, 2-dimethyl-4-oxoquinazolin thiosemicarbazone having general formula of the type [M(DOTSC)2X2], X= CI-, Br-, I-, NO3- and CIO4- were characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, electronic spectra, thermal stability and molar conductance data. The study reveals that the ligand DOTSC, have been propose to act in a bidentate, manner, coordinating to the metal ion through azomethine nitrogen and sulphur atom of thiosemicarbazone moiety. The remaining coordination centers are occupied by anions such as CI-, Br-, I-, NO3- and CIO4-. The complexes were proposed to te octahedral in geometry. The complexes were found to be non electrolytic in nature on the basis of low molar conductance data.
