Co(II), Ni(II) metal complexes with ligands of pyrazolines derivatives, such as 1-nicotynoyl-3, 5-diaryl pyrazoles were synthesized by the reaction of appropriate chalcone dibromides with nicotinic hydrazide. These complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, conductance measurements, magnetic susceptibility measurements, electronic, infrared, and NMR spectral studies. The new complexes and ligands were secreened for their anti bacterial and anti fungal activities. Most of the complexes showed significant antibacterial activity.
