Synthesis and Characterization of Some Biologically Important Pyrazolyl Compounds

Compounds 1 (1-2(2,4 dichloro-5-fluorophenyl) ethanone) and 2 (1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazole-5-carboldehyde) on stirring with alcoholic KOH gave (E)-1-(2,4-dichloro-5-fluorophenyl)-3-(1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)prop-2-en-1-one, 3. Compound 4 on refluxing with o-phenylene diamine in alcohol and gl. acetic acid gave 2-(1-methyl-4-nitro-3-propyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)-3H-benzo[b][1,4] diazepin-4-yl)phenol 5. While compounds 4 on treatment with acetic anhydride and fused sodium acetate gave 2-methyl-3-[(1-methyl-4-nitro-3-propyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl)carbonyl)]-4H-chromon-4-one 6.
