A series of 2,6-diarylidene-4-methylcyclohexanones (I) were prepared by condensation of 4-methylcyclohedanone with aromatic aldehydes. Further these compounds (I) were reacted with thiourea or form 4-ary1-8-arylidene-2-imino-5, 6-dihydro-4H, 7H-6-methyl- (3,1) benzothiazines(II). The structures of newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by their UV, IR, NMR, Mass spectral data and elemental analysis. These biological activities of (II) were also evaluated.
