The present study deals with the solvent effect on the electronic spectra of 4-allyl-1,2-dimethoxybenzene i.e , the effect of polar solvents as ethanol , methanol and water has been studied on the electronic transitions of the said molecule. Ultraviolet spectra in various solvents have been recorded in the region 200-400 nm.
