A heterogeneous precipitate have been as ion carriers of the preparation of Calcium (II) Selective membrane sensors. The electrodes give near-nernstian responses in the linear concentration range of 1x10-4 to 1x10-6 N with detection limites of the orders of 10-6 N. The stable potentiometric signals are obtained with in a short time period of 7 seconds. The effects of pH and the effect of medium have been studied, found to give a better responses selectivity coefficient values (log KpotCa. N) evaluated suing fixed interference method. The sensors have also been a as indicator electrodes in potentiometric titrations of calcium (II) ions with EDTA and its determination in pharmaceutical products.
