A few complexes of Pd(II) and Pb(II) with 1-substituted tetrazoline-5-thione have been synthesized and characterised on the basis of elemental analysis, conductance measurement, IR, UV-Visible and 1HNMR spectral studies. The phenyl,m-tolyl and p-chlorophenyl derivatives of 1-substituted tetrazoline-5-thione co-ordinate through thione tautomeric form with Pd(II) at pH 2-3 and both through thione sulphur and imino nitrogen with Pb(II) at pH 7 resulting deprotonation of imino nitrogen.
